About me…

Hello, my name is Gemma and I am a Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist who is based in Glasgow. If you have arrived on this page, it may be because some parts of your life are feeling heavy or challenging.

What I can offer you is a welcoming space, where you can explore whatever you are experiencing in a supportive and understanding way. I aim to hear and understand you in an empathetic way that helps you to navigate what feels important to you at your own pace.

Meeting people and getting to know their stories feels like a privilege to me. Human connection is something that I value highly and is at the heart of how I work. Every person I work with brings something unique, and I find that I learn so much from each conversation as they make sense of their world.

Experience and Qualifications:

My background is mainly in educational support in colleges and universities, before this I worked in social care. I have over 17 years of experience working in supportive roles, walking alongside people through many different challenges. Over time, I felt a natural next step would be to train as a counsellor, so I could develop the way that I could connect and collaborate with people in a more focused and intentional way.

I am registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) and hold a MSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy. Recently, I have completed a Online Telephone Counselling course which means I am certified in working online and by phone. I also have a BSc(Hons) in Psychology.
